7 The Engine Is Great
The new Supra utilizes the BMW B58 and B48 engines. The B58 is a 3.0 turbocharged inline-6 seen in the BMW 440i and the B48 is a turbocharged inline-4 seen in the BMW 430i. Both engines are very powerful and BMW has pretty much perfected them over the years.
The B58 pushes out 382hp and 368 lb-ft of torque in US spec. The B48 pushes out 255hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. Very high figures from two great German engines. The B58 model makes the Supra capable of accelerating to 60 in a tested 3.8 seconds. The B48 model does a 0-60 in just over 5 seconds.
6 It Has Excellent Driving Dynamics
The new Toyota Supra may just be the best sports car of 2020, and a lot of that is due to its driving dynamics. It has many new driving modes, sharp steering, and most importantly, a 50:50 weight distribution which in a sports car is key. It feels energetic to drive and its ZF 8-speed automatic gearbox is rapidly fast.
It also only weighs 1.5 tons, so it's not very heavy either. It's a punchy car with a lot of torque and very powerful acceleration. What more could we possibly want from a sports car?
5 It's Very Fast
The B58 inline-6 turbo variant of the Supra, known as the GR cracked a 0-60 time of 3.8 seconds. The cheaper B48 inline-4 model did a 0-60 of 5.2 seconds. Both cars cracked a 155 mph top speed which is impressive. The Supra is no slouch, in fact, it's quicker to 60 than the Lamborghini Gallardo and Ferrari 360.

4 It's Surprisingly Comfortable
The new Supra is a very comfortable car. It has very nice tight supportive seats and the suspension isn't too firm even though it's a sports car. It has adjustable driving modes that can soften up the dampers and steering, and it's a very easy car to use overall.
The new Supra may not be a GT car, but it's not your traditional spine-crushing sports car either. It has a lot of comforts as standard, and it has also got a very spacious interior - making it the perfect sports car for tall people.

For just under $50,000 you can bag yourself an inline-6 Toyota Supra. How cool is that? For the same price as a decent family SUV, you can get a powerful little two-seater sports car with the insides of a BMW. The price is reasonable and affordable for most, but things do get cheaper.
The new 2021 4-cylinder turbo model starts at $42,990 which is around $5000 less than a 4-cylinder Z4. In fact, the faster inline-6 Supra starts at a similar price to the slower, less powerful, and lower displacement BMW Z4 S30i.
2 It Has Great Build Quality
The Toyota Supra is built to high standards. The materials used for the interior have a premium feel, and exterior-wise, there are hardly any panel gaps at all.

The new Supra looks awesome and the design has come from years and years of concepts. It all started with the 2007 FT-HS before it went on to the most iconic concept of them all. The Toyota FT-1. The Toyota FT-1 really did shape the Supra over the years and thanks to chief designer Nobuo Nakamura, the new Supra managed to capture a lot of key elements from the FT-1.
