Rest assured, the new model is much more contemporary than the ongoing variant. The third generation is completely redesigned, but the most promising news is that there has been some engine downsizing. The V8s of the past have been thrown in the garbage, and Toyota's "i-FORCEMAX" powertrain substitutes it with a twin-turbo V6 motor; what an excellent name.

The new Sequoia comes standard with Tundra's iForce MAX hybrid engine. This incorporates a 3.4-liter V-6 with an electric motor to produce a combined 437 horsepower. Power is sent to the wheels through a 10-speed automatic gearbox. The suspension is independent at the front and multi-link at the rear. You can also choose adaptive air suspension with the self-leveling system to tow.

Standard is rear-wheel drive, but the four-wheel-drive can be added to most models. This option is standard on the TRD Pro model. The TRD Pro comes with a TRD roof rack and the TOYOTA grille. It also has 18-inch wheels. TRD Pro includes FOX shocks, 1/4-inch thick skid plates, a locking rear differential, various terrain drive modes, crawl control, and a hill descend control feature.

The EPA is yet to release the fuel economy numbers for Sequoia. Whatsoever, they will be far more impressive than the V-8's terrible figures. Believe that the Sequoia hybrid may significantly improve fuel efficiency, as the EPA has rated the Tundra Hybrid at 22 MPG combined. The present Sequoia with V-8 can traverse 13 miles within the city and 17 miles on the highway for every gallon of fuel utilized. One of the interesting improvement is new Sequoia has a considerably improved in its maximum towing capacity, it can haul up to 9,900 pounds. This is 1,600 more than the 2022 Sequoia's maximum weight towing capacity of 7,400 pounds.

Drive Mode Select is an all-new feature on Sequoia, presenting various driving modes depending upon the driver, and it contains standard settings Eco, Normal, and Sport. The iForce MAX system gets you impressive acceleration and torque when in Tow/Haul mode. The SPORT or SPORT S+ settings in the new powertrain, make full use of the electric motor's instantaneous responsiveness. The electric motor performs the majority of the work at lower speeds (below 18 mph), but the gasoline engine takes over the primary operation to provide excellent performance in the high and mid-speed range.
