After seven long years since its legendary debut in NFS Payback in 2015, BMW finally revealed the second generation M2 last week, and as expected, it is based on the 2-Series Coupe and has that peculiar face.

Hold on! It's too early to judge! Beauty is skin deep, and the new BMW M2 is a subtle example. Wonder why? Well, the new M2 features a 460-hp version of the S58 twin-turbo straight-six engine, an advanced rear-wheel-drive system, a luxurious interior, and some important driver assistance features.

However, with the meaner and bolder BMW M2 CS beside, it becomes harder to decide between these two compelling machines. While we absolutely adore the new M2, we prefer the older M2 CS. Want to know why? Read below.

BMW’s design language has been controversial for the past couple of years, and the quirky design of the M2 adds to the case. That said, we like the 2020 BMW CS between these two cars for its beautiful design. The BMW M2 CS has an amazing flavor, and the CS-specific additions work like a subtle pinch of oregano on the pasta.

The M2 CS has got everything right when it comes to exterior design. The sharp LED headlamps with C-shaped corona DRLs, carbon fiber roof, front splitter, diffuser, roof, and black kidney grill look well-fitted. In addition, the Y-spoke aluminum wheels with matt gold accents look amazing. In such a case, who wouldn’t fall for this car?!
