The Audi e-tron GT is finally here, and we cannot wait to get behind the wheel. We have been waiting too long for this car, and it's finally here. The e-tron GT is Audi's first electric sedan, and it is set to be their flagship electric car to take on the Model S Tesla.

It was first properly seen at the Avengers Endgame premiere, and motor journalists have not stopped talking about it since. The e-tron GT is a very fast sedan, capable of out-accelerating the V10-engined Audi R8, and it's a huge step for Audi who improves its electric lineup massively with this car.

10 The Performance

The standard e-tron GT has 522hp, which is a lot. The RS model has 637hp which is ludicrous. Both cars are extremely quick and can do a top speed of over 150 MPH. The standard e-tron GT does a 0-60 sprint in 3.9 seconds. The RS model on the other hand can crack a 2.5 second 0-60 time. That's faster than the R8 supercar, a car that is one of the best entry-level supercars of 2021.

The e-tron GT is stupidly quick then. Not as fast as a Model S Tesla, but unlike the Tesla, the e-tron GT is not only fast on the straights, but it's also quick around the bends.

9 The Looks

Is this the best-looking electric car ever made? We think so and looks alone make this one of the most exciting cars launching this year. The e-tron GT looks like a spaceship, and we are so happy to see that Audi has kept the majority of the e-tron GT concept design in the production model.

The e-tron GT has beautiful curves and lines, and it just looks so elegant. An extremely futuristic car that will certainly age well.

8 It's Based On The Porsche Taycan

via InsideEVs

The Porsche Taycan is already the best electric car in the world. It has an amazing chassis and power terrain which Audi has decided to use for their e-tron GT sedan. This is good news as we now know the e-tron GT will be a riot to drive. It will be unstoppable in the bends and the power is instant.

The Taycan was one of the craziest cars of 2020, so this means the e-tron GT will surely be one of the craziest cars of 2021.

7 Iron Man Drove One

This is probably the coolest thing about this car. Tesla may have a large computer in their car which you can play games on, but did Iron Man ever drive a Model S? We all know Tony Stark is an Audi fan as he also previously had an R8. He knew the e-tron GT was better, so that's why he had one.

The e-tron GT is the absolute perfect car for Tony Stark. It's clean, classy, and most of all, futuristic. It's everything he is, and it's everything he wants.

6 The Technology

We all know that Audi loves their technology. This is quite evident on the e-tron GT, which has a ton of cool features. There is the over-boost function which increases power for short periods, then there are all the lights and, of course, the Quattro technology.

The e-tron GT doesn't have any unnecessary technological functions. It doesn't have an overpowered computer nor a ridiculously sized touchscreen. Instead, it features tech that people need to use and which will improve their driving experience.

5 The Build Quality

Via Audi

The Audi e-tron GT is built by the best-of-the-best when it comes to build quality. Audi knows how to make a well-built car, and the new e-tron GT is an example of this. There are no panel gaps, no cheap paint finish, no bad carpet fittings, etc. It's all very German and the build quality reflects the price, which can't be said for other cars.

The e-tron GT will surely be one of the best-built electric cars on sale. It will surely eliminate a good percentage of its rivals when it comes to build quality. They're veterans in this game, and they take a lot of time and precision when making their cars, unlike other brands.

4 The Driving Dynamics

via Audi

The new e-tron GT is set to have some serious driving dynamics. The first of which is the low center of gravity which will help in grip and handling. Then there is the extremely aerodynamic body which boosts range and reduces drag for more speed. It even has a diffuser for more downforce.

The e-tron GT has air-suspension too which is adaptive. Then there is the rear-wheel steering which helps with the cornering and maneuverability of the car. This car will be a serious challenge to some of the modern German sports cars on the market.

3 The Ultimate GT

The Audi e-tron GT is called the "GT" for a reason. It's a Grand Tourer, and it proves that quite easily. It seats 4 or 5 depending on spec, and it has a decent-sized trunk. Furthermore, it has power, comfort, and class. The e-tron GT just has that elegance not many electric cars carry. This may be the second-most classy elegant electric car after the Porsche Taycan.

The e-tron GT may just give some of these new GT cars a run for their money. It is just a shame though that the e-tron GT comes with a range of under 300 miles. Still, it is pretty fast to charge.

2 It's An Audi

Here's the big one. The four-rings logo carries a lot of pedigree and respect that no start-up electric car company can compete with. This is the company that's won multiple WRC titles, multiple LeMans titles, and so many other racing honors. They have also won many awards with their own production cars, such as the 2005 World Car Of The Year with the Audi A6.

The Audi name is a powerhouse. They own Lamborghini, and they have a lot of influence in the car industry. They're extremely innovative and their cars are becoming sportier and sportier each year. Audi isn't just a case brand. They're a powerhouse with heaps of backing not only from VW or the German government but the whole of the European Union.

1 The Interior

The interior of this car is pretty classy. It doesn't feature anything surprising or weird. In fact, it's quite normal but in a good way. It's organized, and it has everything you need. Two large ten-inch touchscreens and lots of high-end materials. It is such a nice place to be in, and we suspect there will be vegan options available.

It's not as driver-focused as the Taycan, but it is so much more relaxing. It feels more like a car than a laptop on wheels. It's not unusual like certain other car interiors, but it is timeless and high-end.
