Cadillac has long been known for revolutionizing innovation and technological advancement. However, recent years have seen the longstanding maker fall behind some other luxury brands in the electric vehicle (EV) market. With a “go big or go home” mentality, though, Cadillac is stepping up their game with the introduction of their newest EV flagship sedan.

The 2025 Cadillac Celestiq, according to Cadillac, will roll off the production line with the same (or incredibly close) specifications and design as the original concept revealed recently, which will be debuted in-person at Pebble Beach in August of 2022. With a stunning amount of time and financial investment, the Celestiq promises to compete with the likes of Bentley and Rolls-Royce.

The new addition to the Cadillac family will be hand-built and the sleek, beautiful design looks as much like art as it does a car. The futuristic take has us excited to see the production version begin its rollout in 2025, so we can experience the technology and luxury for ourselves.

Let’s take a closer look at why we’re looking forward to the 2025 Cadillac Celestiq!

The 2025 Cadillac Celestiq will be an all-new model for the brand and will be bespoke tailored for each individual purchaser of the upscale ride. Although not all the details have been released about the Celestiq, Cadillac has dropped a few hints and said that the sedan will be available with both all-wheel drive and four-wheel steering.

With that information in mind, it is most likely that the Celestiq will debut with one motor per axle. Keeping competitive with other huge EV brands, the new Cadillac will also likely have great acceleration in order to keep up with popular models like the Audi RS E-Tron GT and Tesla Model 3. It will also likely have some superior handling, as the maker has a few years to perfect the overall performance of the new car before it begins offering it up for sale.

Considering Cadillac’s other major EV, the Lyriq SUV, the battery of the Celestiq will likely follow suit and be an Ultium battery pack as large as 100 kWh. If that is the case, the driving range on the sedan should be anticipated at upwards of 300 miles per charge, moderately lengthy although a bit behind the competition as the Lucid Air is capable of up to 516 miles per charge while the popular Tesla Model S can boast up to 402 miles.

There is also a chance for this range to increase with battery size, as GM has utilized an even larger Ultium battery into models such as the GMC Hummer EV. While the massive SUV can only reach up to 329 miles on battery only, the power will go much further in a smaller, lighter sedan like the Celestiq.

According to news from Cadillac, each Celestiq will be the first vehicle to be produced at the GM Global Technical Center since the building was established back in 1956. Each Celestiq will be completely customizable, and Cadillac even noted that the “sky is the limit” on creating each car as they will be hand-crafted, putting them in the highest luxury category among makers like Rolls-Royce and Bentley.

Other Exciting Features And Technology That We Can't Wait To See In The 2025 Cadillac Celestiq

The design of the new Cadillac is classy and futuristic without going overboard. Photos revealing the concept show sleek lines and angles in a simple (but definitely not lacking) aesthetic. Cadillac claims that the style was inspired by mid-century architecture and especially the works of Finnish American Eero Saarinen who was the designer of such well-known structures as the TWA Flight Center (now TWA Hotel) and the Gateway Arch in St. Louis.

The hyper-luxury does not end with the outer shell, either. The cabin of the car is technology rich and comfortable with four bucket seats, an adjustable roof panel that can be changed from transparent to opaque, leather lining, and brushed metal trim interspersed with open-pore wood accents. The car is also equipped with ambient interior lighting which shines through the perforated wood accenting.

The technology is astounding as well, with a 55-inch touchscreen which covers the entire length of the Celestiq’s dashboard. Rear seats also have large displays with infotainment connectivity for movies, internet searching, and stereo system controls.

Although Cadillac has not yet offered up the Celestiq for safety testing, it has confirmed that It will feature a next-generation edition of GM’s driving technology called Ultra Cruise, which offers hands-free driving. Additionally, the care is likely to include other safety features already available on Cadillac’s other rides including automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assistance.

In the coming years, any updates and advancements in technology are likely to be incorporated into Cadillac’s new EV flagship. We already know that it was designed with the height of luxury in mind and the aesthetics are incredibly appealing, as is the dedication to technology and personalization, which means that, from here until release, the 2025 Cadillac Celestiq will only get better, making it one luxury sedan we’re really looking forward to!
