For most car buyers, choosing to purchase from an American automaker usually means not having to worry too much about headroom and legroom. Unlike some tiny European sports cars or the famous Japanese kei-car class, cars built for the US market are typically roomy enough for just about anyone. But for people who tower over the rest of the population, like Shaquille O'Neal who has to customize just about every car he buys, space considerations factor heavily into the car-buying process, even for SUVs and pickup trucks. Case in point comes from a new post on the Bronco6G fan forum as a user going by the name Redhalo7 put up some photos of his 6'7" frame squeezed into the new Ford Bronco that he wants to buy.

Knee-Room Is The Biggest Concern

Redhalo7's personal details include that his first name is Wade and he drives a Ford F-150. He shares his story of driving both his lifted Ford pickup and his wife's Toyota Highlander, which apparently has the same legroom on paper as the forthcoming four-door Bronco from Ford. But he hasn't found the Highlander particularly comfortable, so he decided to go check out four-door Broncos at an event in Cleveland to be sure he'd fit before making a purchase. The room around his knees sounds to have been his major concern.

All told, Wade came away "pleased about the knee room" and includes a few photos of his shoes and knees in the footwell. He does, however, point out that taller customers who buy the Bronco equipped with a manual transmission may want to consider how close their knee may end up getting to the famous GOAT driving mode dial.

Headroom In A Convertible And Backseat Space

Wade does also reveal that when he's sitting comfortably in the front seat, there won't be very much legroom for a passenger behind him—and as other commenters have posted, this doesn't bode well for the two-door Bronco. But for someone this tall, the Bronco seems to have passed the legroom and knee-room test, while the photos also seem to prove that even with the convertible top (missing in the pics) in place, headroom shouldn't be an issue, either. As Wade enthusiastically wraps up his post, "MY21 or Bust!"
