Plenty of motor clubs put on raffles every year to make a little money and raise their operating capital. The Porsche Club of America and the BMW Car Club of America both make hundreds of thousands of dollars when they offer a new car each year, as members hope for the opportunity to win their dream car for only $50 per entry or so.
A company called Dream Giveaway uses the same formula but to raise money for charity instead—and the latest entry in their impressive lineup of raffles is a pair of awesome Ford-based creations: a 2020 Mustang Shelby GT500 and a 2020 Shelby F-150. Best of all, the winner also receives $50,000 in cash to pay all the taxes associated with a winning ticket.
The Legend
Gearheads will probably be most excited about the Mustang Shelby GT500, which has been long-awaited as the top-spec of the sixth-generation version. With a cross-plane crankshaft V8 displacing 5.2 liters and producing 760 horsepower thanks to a massive supercharger, the GT500 is the fastest and most powerful factory Mustang ever released.
Pricing from the factory starts at $72,900 and goes up from there, though, so plenty of would-be owners will no doubt have to settle for something a little less potent. Enter the Dream Giveaway raffle, however, where tickets start at just $3.
A Supertruck
Dream Giveaway's website describes the truck on offer as "the king of supertrucks." And it's easy to see why, given that its enormous engine bay houses a 5.0-liter V8 engine that's also supercharged and sends 770 horses to all four wheels through a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Based on the 2020 Ford F-150 Lariat 4x4, this Shelby creation focuses not just on brute strength but also on off-roading capabilities, with "an under-body built to withstand the apocalypse." Plus, it's a great way to save mileage on the GT500 by towing it to the track!
