Porsche sports cars are some of the most modified and tuned vehicles in the world. Novitec Group would have loved to have tuned a Porsche, but sadly, the German performance firm currently doesn't have the capacity to tune Porsche's sports car. No need to worry though, since firms like TechArt offer modification packages for most Porsche creations. The TechArt GTstreet R is how the firm would tune a Porsche 911 Turbo S (991.2 generation) for you.
TechArt GTstreet R: More Than Just A Porsche
In stock configuration, a Porsche 991.2 Turbo S with its twin turbocharged 3.8-liter flat six engine offers 572 hp of max output and 553 lb-ft of peak torque. This gives the 991.2 the ability to sprint from zero to 62 mph in 2.9 seconds onto a top speed of 205 mph. But TechArt believed it could do more, so it transformed the Porsche 991.2 Turbo into the GTstreet R.
Featured in Novitec Group's "Supercar Diaries” series hosted by Bijon de Kock, this dynamic TechArt GTstreet R is owned by Marco Casciani (@race1 on Instagram). Casciani owns Race! South Africa, importers and distributors of major automotive and motorcycle brands in the country.
In the video, Bijon took the GTstreet R to the streets of Johannesburg. Its sound was more than fantastic, and its performance is truly astonishing. During the drive, the GTstreet R was always hitting more than 124 mph (200 km/h).
Increased Power With Carbon Aero Upgrades
There are several keys to GTstreet R's awesome performance. One of these is the TechArt Performance Powerkit that could up the tempo to 710 hp of max output and 678 lb-ft of peak torque. This kit include TechArt Techtronic ECU, a performance exhaust system, sport tailpipes, TechArt performance turbochargers with VTG and TechArt gearbox management.
In addition, the GTstreet R features various related elements carbon fiber, including fiber front apron (with active front spoiler lip and additional air intakes), airframes, front fenders, side skirts, extended wheel arches and air rear side intakes. On the rear, the sports car comes with active rear wing, carbon rear diffuser, high performance sport exhaust system with four central titanium tailpipes.
Riding on 20-Inch Forged Wheels
Furthermore, the GTstreet R rides on customized forged 20-inch TECHART Formula IV Race centerlock wheels shod with road-legal competition tires. Also available are 21-inch TechArt Formula IV rims in street rubbers.
