The C8 Corvette mostly wins over enthusiasts while also managing to usher the performance vehicle into a new era with its mid-engine layout, even if the Chevy sports car's design strays from the styling of past generations. Inevitably, though, there are going to be owners who just aren't satisfied with the Corvette's looks, and that's where aftermarket bodykits from tuners such as Rocket Bunny/Pandem, VeilSide, and others come in. One such owner, Alex Lawn, had his C8 Corvette decked out with Pandem's first widebody kit, and now he's showcased an updated wrap that ensures the supercar continues turning heads wherever it goes.

C8 Owner Gives Priceless Reaction Seeing It For The First Time

Fans of the C8 Corvette's previous blacked-out look may find the supercar's new wrap significantly less intimidating, a sentiment many are voicing on social media postings first showing it off. Perhaps if pundits didn't have the C8 Corvette's past iteration for comparison, the new wrap's reception would prove warmer.

Lawn unveiled the C8's new wrap in a video on Instagram that captured his unedited reaction to seeing the car for the first time. Resisting the urge to look, Lawn kept his back turned until they were able to roll the car out and pull it up to where he waited with bated breath so he could appreciate it in all its newly wrapped glory. As soon as Lawn turned around to get a look, he didn't conceal his true feelings. "Holy s***," he said. "That's how you do it."

Premium Auto Styling is responsible for fulfilling Lawn's request to transform the car's exterior. The wrap wasn't the only thing the shop did, either. Lawn admits to cracking the Corvette's front lip during a rally. If Lawn hadn't mentioned it, though, we wouldn't know, and he's generous enough to give the shop credit, continually heaping praises for all their work.

No surprise, the part Lawn stressed over the most was the wrap's gold color, which he hoped would match the Corvette's interior. At the end of the day, he admits to not picking a color beforehand and that he ultimately trusted the shop to pull it off. As the video reveals, Lawn is thoroughly pleased with their work.

Many are wondering, what's next for the Corvette? Lawn teases even more mods to come. "The build's not over," he said. "It never is."
