When Audi decided to bring the new RS6 Avant to the United States market, the international automotive world collectively scratched its head. On one hand, Americans have an on-again, off-again relationship with hot hatches and sporty wagons. On the other, the RS6 Avant could attract plenty of enthusiasts who love its bold style, powerful engine, and daily luxury. Whether a $109,995 MSRP might hinder the RS6 Avant's sales remains to be seen—sure, quantities will be limited but still, that's a hefty chunk of change. But one early 2021 Audi RS6 Avant owner believes the model's introduction to the American market might present an opportunity to make a quick profit on Autotrader; the only question is, would you pay over $200,000 for a brand-new super station wagon?

The car in question here looks like an advertisement in its lead photo, but in reality is being sold by a private owner out of Cleveland, Ohio. It was also, to be fair, optioned with what the seller claims is "everything that was available," which would definitely increase the sticker price significantly.

Carbon Is The New Black

The seller says the car was paint-corrected and received a clear bra wrap on the exterior, plus a ceramic coating on the entire body, including the wheels and brakes. And speaking of brakes, those massive carbon-ceramic units are probably a good option considering that the beastly wagon leaves the factory equipped with a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 that produces 591 horsepower and a matching figure in lb-ft of torque (not to mention a curb weight in excess of 4,500 pounds).

The interior has received plenty of carbon-fiber touches, as well, while amenities reportedly include the Executive Package, the Extended Leather Package, and the Driver Assistance Package, the latter of which would include adaptive cruise control with lane-keep assist, side assist, and even traffic sign recognition.

At an asking price of $207,000, that may or may not be negotiable given how few of these cars are on the secondhand market quite yet, all those options might help inspire a buyer—if they feel the urge but can't get one new from Audi at a significantly lower price, that is.
