WWE stars are famous for their outrageous performances in the ring. But are they as flamboyant and glamorous in real life? Well, the fact is that while some wrestlers like to splash their cash on expensive houses, luxury holidays, and flashy cars, others are more than happy to drive around in regular vehicles that even their fans could afford.
Some of these wrestling stars have even been known to incorporate their vehicles in their WWE shows. Eddie Guerrero is famous for making entrances to the ring in a series of customized lowriders, while Kurt Angle once made his big entrance driving a milk truck! JBL used to get ferried into the arena in a stretch limousine, while Kerwin White went to the other end of the scale, preferring to make his WWE entrances in a golf cart.
When it comes to the cars that WWE stars drive when their wrestling matches are over, however, there are those who spend hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars on supercars or rare vintage models, and there are those who prefer to stick to driving a favorite car that they’ve had for years, or just get themselves a simple set of wheels that will get them from A to B.
Check out the list below of some of the great cars driven by WWE stars, and some of the old beaters owned by their rivals.
25 Stone Cold Steve Austin - Monster Truck
WWE stars may be known for their expensive and elegant vehicles, but one of the sport’s biggest stars, Stone Cold Steve Austin, prefers to drive something a little less subtle: a customized monster truck. Austin once even drove the vehicle into the arena, and has been known to use even more unusual vehicles in his ring entrances, such as a beer truck, a Zamboni machine (the small trucks used to resurface ice rinks), and has even used a concrete mixer to destroy WWE boss Vince McMahon’s car. Stone Cold even used his $150,000 monster truck to destroy a $40,000 Lincoln Continental belonging to The Rock as part of their great rivalry in the 1990s.
24 Dwayne Johnson - Pagani Huayra
Thanks to his success in both WWE and film and television work, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson can now afford much more expensive cars than $40,000 Lincoln Continentals. Although his customized Ford F-150 pickup is his favorite ride, the Fast and Furious star has also been seen driving some exclusive sports cars—even though he often struggles to fit his 6’5” frame into their cramped cabins. Johnson once turned up at a Ballers premiere in a gorgeous $1.3 million Pagani Huayra, a supercar from Italy that's been in production between 2012 and 2018, powered by an impressive V12 engine allowing a top speed of 230 miles per hour.
23 Alberto Del Rio - Rolls-Royce Phantom
From a speedy roadster to one of the most classic and sophisticated British cars of all time, the Rolls-Royce Phantom. The Phantom name has been used by Rolls Royce on vehicles since 1925, with the most recent model – a full-size luxury car – being launched in 2017. The Rolls-Royce Phantom driven by wrestler Alberto Del Rio is a little older than that but is no less stylish. Del Rio even uses his $350,000 Phantom as part of his ring entrance routine, as well as owning other vintage cars, including a 1965 Shelby Cobra, just like his WWE rival, Goldberg.
22 Vince McMahon - Bentley Continental GT
Wrestling supremo Vince McMahon is the owner, chairman, and CEO of WWE, taking over the company, which basically runs the sport, from his father in the 1980s. Although he now works behind the scenes, only making the odd cameo appearance in the ring, he has also participated in fights as a professional wrestler in his time and even won the WWF World Championship and the Royal Rumble in 1999. McMahon drives a very classy car, as befits his position at the head of the WWE empire: a Bentley Continental GT. The $200,000 vehicle has been made since 2003.
21 John Cena - Plymouth Superbird Roadrunner
Wrestler John Cena, who has successfully branched out from the WWE ring into television and movie acting, has an impressive collection of cars, including a classic 1970 Plymouth Superbird Roadrunner which is worth an astonishing $190,000. Cena also owns a $50,000 1966 Dodge Hemi Charger, a $65,000 limited-edition yellow Ford Mustang, and a customized Corvette ZR1, which the wrestler calls the InCENArator and which is valued at $125,000. It is the Plymouth Superbird Roadrunner, however, which was initially developed for NASCAR racing and was only made for one year, that is the pride and joy of Cena’s collection.
20 Hulk Hogan - Dodge Challenger Hellcat
If you were a fan of WWE wrestling in the 1980s—or WWF, as it was known in those days—then the name Hulk Hogan will be very familiar. He was a regular face in the WWE ring between 1979, when he made his wrestling debut, and the late-1990s, although he has continued his association with the sport and continues to make guest appearances at big events. Hogan, whose real name is Terry Gene Bollea, has even featured in his own reality TV series, Hogan Knows Best, and drives a Dodge Challenger Hellcat, among other vehicles; the ideal car for his tough image.
19 Triple H - Lamborghini Huracan
The Lamborghini Huracan is one of the most stylish – and expensive – supercars. Launched in 2014, it is available in a series of limited-edition models, but even the most basic Huracan on the market will set you back $200,000. The Lamborghini Huracan is the vehicle of choice for WWE wrestler Triple H, whose original ring name was Hunter Hearst Helmsley. Triple H made his wrestling debut in 1992, moving to WWF (now WWE) in 1995, and has worked in the wrestling business since, as well as taking on some movie roles and launching his own business empire managing other WWE wrestlers.
18 Dave Bautista - Hummer H2
Dave Bautista is another wrestler who has made a successful transition into the world of acting, with successful roles in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, Blade Runner 2049, and the 2015 James Bond film, Spectre. He has been a regular in the WWE ring since 2000 and has even tried his hand at mixed martial arts, winning his first and only fight against Vince Lucero in 2012. Bautista is a big guy and drives a suitably big set of wheels: a Hummer H2. These massive trucks were inspired by a military vehicle called a Humvee, though production of Hummers ended in 2010 when the company went out of business.
17 Jeff Hardy - Lamborghini Aventador
Triple H is not the only WWE wrestler who has opted to drive a Lamborghini; WWE rival Jeff Hardy drives a Lamborghini Aventador, a classic sports car which has been in production since 2011. Such a timeless piece of auto engineering doesn’t come cheap, however, and a new Aventador model will cost you at least $300,000. Hardy, who signed to a contract with WWE in 1998, often fights alongside his brother, Matt (who is a big fan of motor racing and has even driven the pace car at a NASCAR event), and the duo have won several tag-team championships together.
16 Ric Flair - Chevy Camaro
A famous name in professional wrestling, Ric Flair is a retired wrestler who now manages other fighters, while also making a few cameo appearances at WWE events! He was one of the most successful wrestlers of the 1980s, winning sixteen world titles throughout his career. Flair has had a colorful personal life, being married five times, and his wives and children have also made appearances in WWE events, with his daughter Charlotte (real name Ashley) signing a WWE contract in 2012. The iconic star also drove an iconic vehicle, a customized Chevy Camaro muscle car, before he sold it an auction in 2015.
15 Dwayne Johnson - Ford F-150
Dwayne Johnson is not only one of the most successful and famous WWE wrestlers of all time, under his fighting name The Rock, but he is also probably the wrestler who has made the most successful transition to Hollywood, starring in dozens of movies, including several films in the Fast and Furious franchise, as well as taking the lead role in the successful HBO series Ballers. Johnson owns several amazing vehicles, with a car collection that is worth millions of dollars, but his pride and joy is his customized Ford F-150 pickup truck, which also happens to be the best-selling truck in the United States.
14 Goldberg - 1965 Shelby Cobra
William Goldberg, who fights under the ring name Goldberg, has been an integral part of the WWE crew since the 1990s, and has also made a move into acting, with a cameo appearance in Universal Soldier: The Return in 1999, alongside “The Muscles from Brussels”, Jean-Claude Van Damme. Wrestling wasn’t the first sport in which Goldberg enjoyed success, as he was a professional football player, playing as a defensive tackle for the Los Angeles Rams between 1990 and 1995. Goldberg is a fan of vintage cars, and he drives a stunning 1965 Shelby Cobra, a stylish sports car powered by a Ford V8 engine, with models changing hands for millions of dollars these days.
13 The Miz - Audi R8
Known as “The Miz” in wrestling circles, Michael Mizanin started fighting in WWE in 2004 following a series of appearances on reality TV shows like MTV's The Real World: Back to New York, Fear Factor, and Tough Enough, and now stars in a new docuseries show featuring him and his wife. Out of the ring, The Miz drives a customized Jeep, as well as an Audi R8 with vertical-lifting Lambo doors. This classy two-seater sports car doesn’t usually come with Lambo doors, but The Miz added them to his model, making sure it really stands out from the crowd. In production since 2006, the most basic model of the Audi R8 costs around $170,000.
12 Natalya - Volkswagen CC
There are plenty of female wrestlers who have also made a name for themselves in WWE, but who seem to be less inclined to splash the cash on cars. Natalya, who is married to fellow wrestler Tyrone Kidd and who is also the niece of wrestling icons Ross and Bruce Hart, is one of those WWE stars who prefers to keep things simple. Despite winning the SmackDown Women’s Championship 2017, Natalya lives a quiet life outside of the ring, and still drives her old 2011 Volkswagen CC, a compact executive car which was in production between 2008 and 2017, and today is pretty cheap for a second-hand model.
11 Kane - Smart Car
Kane is one of the most iconic bad guys of WWE, playing the half-brother of The Undertaker, with whom he would often fight in tag-team events. The three-time WWE World Champion still makes occasional appearances in the ring, but he has also launched a career in politics. Representing the GOP, Kane (whose real name is Glenn Jacobs) was elected Mayor of Knox County in September 2018. When he was on the campaign trail, Jacobs would drive a branded Smart Car, despite the fact that he would often struggle to fit his not-insubstantial, seven-foot frame inside the compact vehicle!
10 Ronda Rousey - Honda Accord
Ronda Rousey is better known for her career in mixed martial arts, becoming the first female UFC Champion in 2016. She has also had roles in several action movies, and signed up with WWE in 2014, making occasional appearances in the ring before becoming the Raw Women’s Champion in 2018. For years, Rousey drove around in her 2005 Honda Accord, a car which had been her home as well as her wheels in the years before she made it in the UFC and WWE. In 2015, Rousey put the car and several items of sporting memorabilia up for sale, with the vehicle eventually selling for $21,000.
9 Shinsuke Nakamura - Mazda Demio Skyactiv
Despite the fact that WWE stars earn vast sums of money, not all of them choose to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on their cars. Some are happy to stick with cars they have had for years, or simply don’t feel the need to blow all their cash on a set of wheels. Shinsuke Nakamura, for example, a WWE wrestler from Japan, has made a very patriotic choice when it comes to his car, driving a Mazda Demio Skyactiv. The Mazda Demio Skyactiv is a compact supermini, ideal for city driving, but not the kind of thing you would expect to see wealthy sports stars driving.
8 Dean Ambrose - Hyundai Santa Fe
Wrestler Dean Ambrose, whose real name is Jonathan Good, signed up to fight in WWE in 2011, following a successful wrestling career on the amateur circuit. Ambrose is a one-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion, a three-time Intercontinental Champion, and a two-time Raw Tag Team Champion with fellow WWE star Rollins. Despite his successes, Ambrose hasn’t gone crazy splashing cash on cars, unlike many of his rivals. He prefers to drive regular vehicles that even his fans can afford, such as the Hyundai Santa Fe, a mid-size crossover SUV, which has been in production since 2001 and has a starting price of just $40,000.
7 Stone Cold Steve Austin - Ford Bronco
Stone Cold Steve Austin’s high-priced monster truck may have had a starring role in some of his most infamous WWE appearances, but this is far from the only vehicle which the wrestler owns. Austin is also a fan of classic vehicles, especially those made by Ford, and the WWE star’s car collection also includes a 1995 Ford Bronco, an SUV which was first made back in 1965 before production ended in 1996, although the classic vehicle is due to make a comeback in 2020. The Bronco may be a classic car, but used models change hands for just $20,000.
6 Rey Mysterio - Toyota Tundra
It would seem that SUVs and pickup trucks are a popular choice for WWE wrestlers, from The Rock’s expensive customized Ford F-150 to the more basic Toyota Tundra driven by Rey Mysterio. Mysterio, whose real name is Oscar Gutierrez, is famous for his outlandish wrestling style, including his colorful lucha libre masks. He has been wrestling since 1989, but only signed up with WWE in 2002, and has continued to drive his Toyota Tundra pickup, which costs $30,000, although his car collection also includes a customized 2016 Audi R-8, a G-Class Mercedes, a 1965 Chevy, and a Maserati GTS.
5 Daniel Bryan - Honda Fit
Daniel Bryan began his career in 2000, and is the current 2018 WWE Champion, having won the title four times in his career. He is married to Brie Bella, a fellow professional wrestler, and the couple has appeared together in two reality TV series, Total Divas and Total Bellas. Despite their success and their fame, Bryan drives a Honda Fit, a subcompact car which has been in production since the turn of the 21st century. A subcompact may seem an unlikely choice for a wrestling couple, but they seem to prefer driving a simple car which costs less than $20,000.
4 Braun Strowman - Kia Soul
The Kia Soul is an unusual-looking, subcompact crossover SUV, costing less than $20,000 for the most basic models. It may be a great choice for an ordinary family looking for a budget ride, but it is not the sort of vehicle you would expect a WWE wrestler to drive. However, WWE star Braun Strowman—real name Adam Scherr—prefers his Kia Soul to much more expensive and exclusive vehicles. Prior to his wrestling career, Strowman took part in strongman competitions, winning the NAS US Amateur National Championships in 2011, and now plays the role of a bad guy in the WWE ring.
3 Tommy Dreamer - Kia Optima
Another WWE star who has opted to drive a car from Kia is Tommy Dreamer. Dreamer left the WWE circuit in 2015, and now runs his own wrestling promotion company called House of Hardcore, and is married to fellow wrestler Beulah McGillicutty. Despite his long and successful career in WWE and other wrestling competitions, Dreamer is happy to stick to driving his Kia Optima, a mid-size car which was launched in 2000 and which costs only $24,000 for the basic model. Apparently, Dreamer said that the best part of owning a Kia Optima is the low monthly payments!
2 Stone Cold Steve Austin - Ford Focus
The 1995 Ford Bronco is far from the most surprising vehicle in Stone Cold Steve Austin’s car collection. While the Bronco at least matches Austin’s rough and ready image, the WWE star also drives a 2003 Ford Focus, usually when he is in Los Angeles. He clearly loves his cars, regardless of the fact that this compact car is very out of fashion these days. Second-hand models from 2003 cost just $5,000 these days, and yet Stone Cold Steve Austin seems to have no intention of upgrading his beloved car, despite the fact that he has more than enough money to do so.
1 Kevin Nash - Ford Bronco
Stone Cold Steve Austin isn’t the only wrestler who is a fan of Ford vehicles, and he isn’t even the only WWE star who drives an old Ford Bronco. Kevin Nash signed up to fight on the WWE circuit back in 1990, and as well as his successful wrestling career, he has also appeared in several movies and TV shows. His fame doesn’t appear to have gone to his head, however, as he still drives around in a 1993 Ford Bronco, a 25-year-old SUV. Who needs to spend a fortune on a supercar when you can make do with a reliable Detroit-made vehicle.
