When it comes to pickup trucks, the Ford F-150 is one of the most popular in the United States. It is a go anywhere, do anything machine that just gets better and better, especially with a hybrid version out and an electric version on the way. There's also a special edition that's set to become available on February 20, albeit in digital form. Rocket League has announced that they will be introducing a Ford F-150 Rocket League Edition truck into the game.

What The Rocket League Game Is All About

What is Rocket League? To put it simply, it is a car football game. There are various arenas to compete in, and you can play it with friends or against the AI and then upgrade the car's in-game with boost, decals, liveries, and more. It’s a bit more than just car football but that is essentially the gist. The majority of the cars available are machines of pure fiction but there are some real-life vehicles in the game, including the DeLorean DMC-12.

Touch Of Humor To Go With This Special F-150

The commercial itself for the F-150 has a touch of humor about it. It starts by saying that it is “a giant among trucks” and shows off the familiar tough Ford design, then the humor kicks in by saying “the same tropical fruit wheels, and boost out of the exhaust laser thing.” Of course, the real trucks do not have such features but it is a nice touch of humor from Ford and Rocket League to make the commercial more fun. In terms of modified pickups, we aren't sure how well the fruit wheels would fit in! The bundle for the truck is available from February 20 to 28 through the in-game store.

There is plenty to choose from as well for what is dubbed the F-150 RLE. The bundle includes plenty of accessories. Aside from the Ford itself, you get Rocket League wheels and F-150 SE wheels, plus F-150 boost, an RLE chairman Decal, RLE engine audio, and a Ford F-150 player banner to go with the truck. For those who play the game, the truck will cost 1500 in-game credits, so if you don’t have that many you have a few days yet to save up and get ready for the new vehicle.
