How does a 1,500-horsepower twin-turbo Dodge Viper sound? Pretty scary, if you ask us, and YouTube channel Street Speed 717 proves that it can terrify the bejesus out of everyone.But first, there’s also a great giveaway shot on the video, with a RAM TRX going to Californian Jonah Cooper who deserved a good turn in his life. Here’s how the Viper and the TRX go down…
First Off, Terrifying Family With The Viper
Vipers, on the whole, are terrifying. They make deadly snakes and even deadlier cars, and Mike from Street Speed 717 owns one that can make you shake in your boots.
The Viper runs on a Calvo CM 1300 package and is as powerful as a Viper can get. The gust of wind that blows out of the exhaust when the car starts is a good enough indication of power, right?
The first guy Mike gets to sit in his car is Rich, Mike’s neighbor, who is officially retired and thinks that the Dodge Viper is absolutely crazy. He also thinks that the exhausts might make people think you are shooting at them, and his facial expressions as the Viper surges ahead are quite a treat. His ultimate parry, “that was a raw animal!”
Two more passengers joined in, and the reactions were all over the place. We saw nervous laughter, downright terror, and an “I’m-going-to-hurl” expression from Bobby.
The Viper is not everyone’s cup of Joe.
A Good Deed, Indeed
The video actually starts with Mike talking about the RAM TRX giveaway, usually announced on Sunday. A family emergency put in a delay and so the winner, Jonah Cooper from California, got the call on Wednesday. Wrote Mike on Instagram, “HUGE CONGRATS to @jcoope108 for winning our 2022 Ignition TRX plus $10,000!!! Another day another life changed by yours truly, and @inshanedesigns We’re gonna fly him in from CA to check it out next week so stay tuned! Thank you so much to everyone for entering. I really can’t thank you guys enough for allowing us to do this stuff, and I’m truly blessed to have the coolest job ever!”
Considering Cooper lost his brother to an OD last month, this TRX is going to a better place, as one fan commented, “Checked his page and it seems like it'll really lift him up. You probably brought such a boost he hasn't seen since. Not upset I missed this one.”
