The 2019 Chevrolet C7 Corvette ZR1 is by no means a slow car; it can complete the sprint in only 2.85 seconds and reach a quarter mile in just 10.6 seconds. The top speed is 212 mph. Intense Performance: Seeing And Hearing Is Believing
In its stock form, the C7 Corvette ZR1—with its LT5 6.2L V-8 engine 755 hp of max output and 715 lb.-ft. of peak torque, thanks to General Motors' first dual-fuel-injection system that employs primary direct injection and supplemental port injection. Resulting performance is as stated prior—blazing. But Hennessey's upgraded C7 Corvette ZR1 is more intense.

He was at Sealy, Texas, to get a closer look at Hennessey's upgraded machines, including the C7 Corvette ZR1 with the firm's HPE1000 supercharged engine upgrade. Hypercar Power Via 1,000-HP Supercharger Upgrade
As Hennessey says, the C7 Corvette ZR1 HPE1000 promises to deliver 1,000 bhp at just 6,400 rpm and 966 lb-ft of peak torque available at 4,400 rpm. This is achieved by the installation of high-flow air induction system, long-tube stainless steel headers, custom HPE camshaft, ported cylinder heads, stainless steel mid-pipes, high-flow catalytic converters, and Hennessey lower pulley.
The HPE1000 upgrade also includes upgrading the C7 Corvette ZR1's valve springs and retainers, intake valves and exhaust valves, as well as lifters and pushrods. The 8-Speed Automatic transmission is also upgraded, but no upgrade is needed for the 7-speed manual gearbox. Added elements include serial-numbered dash and engine plaques, Hennessey exterior badging, and premium floormats.
More Intense Performance: Quicker And Faster
With this power level, the C7 Corvette ZR1 HPE1000 can zoom from nil to 60 mph in 2.3 seconds and reach the quarter mile in just 9.4 seconds at 147 mph—with the optional rear drag radial tires mounted. In the same configuration minus the ZTK pack, the C7 Corvette ZR1 HPE1000 can achieve a top speed of more than 230 mph. Intense!
