Owning a Ferrari is surely a dream for many, many people. Be it a modern monster such as the SF90 Stradale, or an all-time classic in the Enzo, or the supremely expensive 250 GTO. To own a Ferrari at least once in your life is something truly special. Plenty of Ferraris come up for sale on auction sites, such as this one currently going under the hammer on Collecting Cars. This is a 1980 Ferrari 512 BB with just under 31,000 miles on the clock. What makes this Ferrari so special, as it is a rare breed of 512 BB, is it is being sold with a Zender body kit.

The Ferrari 512 BB very much comes from the flagship era of the brand's supercars. The Zender body kit dramatically enhances the appearance of this already great-looking car. The body kit comprises a much deeper front bumper and lip spoiler, wider side skirts, and a modified engine cover clamshell. The rear bumper also features flared aerodynamic elements. This Zender Ferrari is in a stunning blue color received back in 2019, and as such it ensures that this particular Ferrari is in the best condition possible.

While the Zender body kit rightly grabs your eyes, the powertrain of this Ferrari is also special. The 512 BB has a 4.9-liter carburetor-fed flat-12 engine, which drives the rear wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox. That flat-twelve engine produces around 355 hp, and the car passed its most recent MOT test in April 2020 with a clean pass.

This Ferrari is even more special as it was originally delivered to Hong Kong in 1980 before making its way to the UK and with DVLA registration in 2016.

The current owner has serviced the car regularly and it clearly has been well looked after and Collecting Cars state that there is no known prior bodywork damage to the Ferrari. The interior is in a gorgeous tan leather, and it is in great condition, more than likely being redone at some point given the good condition it is in. The interior clock currently doesn’t work, but is no doubt fixable and is at the very least a nice feature to still have in the car. This is a stunning and super rare machine, that would make a fine addition to anyone’s garage.
