Zyrus Engineering might not be a company that you have heard much of, but in case you don't, you'll want to start paying attention now. They are a small car manufacturer located in Norway, and they race Lamborghini Huracans which has given them a bit of expertise when it comes to those cars. So, to that end, they decided to enhance and develop the Huracan and create their own version. They have now launched their second car after a rigorous testing program that has taken around two years. Enter the Zyrus LP1200 Strada.

The Nitty-Gritty

So, as I am sure you want us to, let's get into the nitty-gritty of the car. Strictly speaking, this is not a brand new model, as the Strada is the second iteration of the already built and developed LP 1200 R. It's based on the Huracan LP640-4 and is completely rebuilt by hand. And they have gone to the extremes of taking as much weight out of the track-ready car as possible with 78 kg saved. They describe it as “the ultimate road car that can be driven like a race car."

Boasts Over 1,000 Horsepower

What are the stats then? Well, you won’t be surprised to learn that this car boasts over 1,000 hp. The road spec Strada produces 900 hp. And, with the push of a button, this can be increased to a staggering 1,200 hp for use on the track. And to get you around the track as much as possible, the car produces a whopping 2,010 kg of downforce, so you can lap whatever track you are on as fast as possible.

A Costly Car

Of course, it's going to be a costly venture. And Zyrus claims that the starting price for the car is 595,000 euro (nearly $727,000). Yes, you read that correctly—that's just the starting price. That does though include a track day familiarization package, complete with a team and set of engineers from Zyrus themselves.

We can clearly see the Huracan base in the styling, with that aggressive Lamborghini look enhanced massively by the company. It looks just as wild as Lamborghini's own extreme Huracan, the STO. A huge rear spoiler and diffuser, along with a crazy front splitter with carbon wings, show that when you are on the track, you mean business.
